About the Role:As a Laundry Aide at Avir at Alice, you will be responsible for processing and handling patient laundry, linens, and textiles in a thorough and efficient manner. This includes sorting, washing, drying, and folding or ironing laundry items to ensure they are clean, sanitized, and ready for use. You will work closely with our environmental services team to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Sort, wash, dry, and fold or iron laundry items, linen, and textiles according to established procedures and protocols
- Operate laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
- Maintain accurate records of patient laundry and linen inventory
- Collaborate with the environmental services team to ensure efficient and effective laundry operations
- Follow established infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines
