Join Kona Medical Consulting as a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner in Texas. This role involves providing high‑quality patient care in sites such as Corpus Christi, Victoria, Kingsville, Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Uvalde.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care management and will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, performing wound care procedures, and providing education to patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on evidence‑based practices.
  • Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures.
  • Administer injections and manage tube feeding as necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess patients for potential complications.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care management.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately using ICD‑10 coding.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care of patients with complex needs.
  • Stay updated on best practices in wound care and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing spinal taps and managing aliment‑related issues is a plus.
  • Experience administering injections and conducting thorough assessments of vital signs.
  • Familiarity with coding practices related to wound care management.
  • A strong background in pediatrics or experience working with dementia patients is advantageous.
