Forklift Operator, Machine Operator, Material Handler, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
The Recyclerisresponsibleforsorting,processing,andhandlingPVCscrapmaterials,ensuringcompliancewithsafetyprotocols,andoperatingnecessarymachinerytofacilitatetherecyclingprocess.
Thisrolerequiresattentiontodetail,adherencetosafetyprocedures,andeffectivecommunicationwithteammemberstosupportoperationalefficiency.
Schedule:Days(7:00AM–7:00PM) ona2/2/3rotation
Starting Pay: $20.65 per hour
Key Responsibilities:Consistentlywearrequired
PPE
(hearing protection,OSHA-approvedeyeprotection,gloves,steel-toeboots).
Follow
safety protocols
forsawcuttingproceduresandPVCscrapprocessing.
Complywithall
OSHA-requiredsafetytraining
,includingforkliftoperation,hazard recognition,fire safety,lockout/tagoutprocedures,andpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE) usage.
Readandfollowproduction
skidtags
,understandingitemnumbers,part descriptions,quantityperskid,andlabelidentification.
Properlysortvarioustypesof
purchased scrap
,includingfreefoamPVCtrim,rigid materials,PVC mouldings,sawdust,colored non-white materials,andsiding.
Operate
Vibrator Sorting Table ,Tip Hopper,dustcollectionsystem,metal separator,andearthmagnetsystem.
Operate
forklifts
accordingtoin-houseand
OSHA
safety guidelines(seatbeltusage,stoppingatdesignatedareas,using horns,maintainingforkheightbelow
12incheswhilemoving).
Perform
forkliftsafetychecks
before shifts,inspecting brakes,horn,lights,alarms,steering,tires,hydraulic systems,andbatteryconnections.
Wear required
PPE
forgrinderoperations(face shield,black gloves,hearing protection,andOSHA-approvedsafetyglasses).
Follow
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)forstartingandshuttingdownshreddersandgrinders,workingwithmaintenancewhennecessary.
Safely
dumpblueandgraybins
,followingprotocoltoattachsafetychainsandcorrectlyoperatetheself-dumping hopper.
Familiarity with
warehouse operations,recycling processes,andmaterialhandlingequipment
.
Knowledge of
measurement tools
(tape measures,calipers,micrometers) andabilitytopass
measurement test
before hire.
In-house
forkliftcertificationandtraining
provided.
