Support development of medical device products and product engineering. Responsibilities include writing specifications, designing products and fixtures, testing processes and equipment, and specifying raw materials to ensure concepts and prototypes meet requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop new product concepts and products applying engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, materials, bioengineering, etc.).
- Provide engineering design, process development, and sustain engineering support.
- Develop products/processes and supporting methods such as test methods, equipment/fixtures, data engineering, statistics, software coding and application, engineering/business intelligence, or analytical methods.
- Generate intellectual property and write invention disclosures.
- Lead projects and may supervise Technicians, Assemblers, and others as needed.
- Self-directed and capable of meeting project goals with minimal supervision.
- Travel as required.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, Quality Management System processes, and demonstrate ethics and integrity.
- Perform additional duties related to business objectives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a scientific field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and CAD (Solid Works or PRO/E).
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a scientific field.
- Design and development of medical devices and working knowledge of cGMP.
- Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment, processes, and medical device manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of medical and technical development and international regulations for medical devices.
- Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Expertise in one or more engineering fields (mechanical, electrical, materials, bioengineering, etc.).
- Proficient in designing and developing products, hardware, software, and methodologies.
- Experienced in supporting medical device development through advanced engineering and analytical approaches (mechanical, materials, electromechanical, hardware/software, sensing technology, AI/ML).
$100,064 – $131,334
