To transform how millions of users explore, interact with, and participate in live events worldwide, Stub Hub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop next-generation technologies and complex features. You will be at the forefront of tackling significant, ambiguous, and non-trivial challenges as a core contributor and innovator. You will demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm for the problems you tackle and act as an advocate and mentor for your team, setting an example for those around you.

Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

The Direct Marketing Technology team builds the intelligence and systems behind Stub Hub’s lifecycle marketing engine, encompassing email, push, and app notifications. We focus on making every fan interaction relevant, timely, and effective in driving repeat engagement. Our work sits at the intersection of data science, personalization, marketing technology, and software engineering, with real-time targeting, campaign decision-making, and experimentation at scale.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across all Stub Hub’s platforms and products, delivering high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across our code
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Mentor other team members and help increase technical capabilities, fostering a culture of inclusion, results-oriented execution, open innovation, and creativity

• 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development
• Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C#)
• Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following:
  Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy
• Experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact
• Strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives
• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Experience owning projects from idea to production
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

The anticipated gross base pay range is listed below. Actual compensation varies based on qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base salary is one component of total compensation and benefits.

Salary Range
$200,000—$250,000 USD
