Base Pay Range
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour for full‑time and part‑time, hourly positions.

Guided by Head Guards and Lifeguard Managers, you'll be the friendly face explaining safety protocols, the vigilant guardian against potential hazards, and the enforcer of pool etiquette. You’ll also be the expert on smooth opening and closing procedures.

- Supervise swimming activities and ensure policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Advises swimmers of improper activities or dangers and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid when necessary.
- Work independently while maintaining focus for extended periods.
- Evaluate conditions for safety and activate the emergency action plan if necessary.
- Complete daily opening/closing procedure checklists.
- Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and usability.
- Assist with pool chemical tests and record results.
- Communicate effectively with patrons, co‑workers, and management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum
- Must be at least 16 years old and obtain a work permit if under 18.
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts.
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to interact with the public.
- Reliable transportation.
- Be able to obtain and maintain Star Guard Elite Lifeguard Certification.
- Swimming proficiency and ability to submerge to water depths exceeding 14 feet.
Preferred
- Prior lifeguard experience.
- Star Guard Elite Lifeguard Certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours a day.
- Work in an outdoor environment exposed to natural elements.
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water.
- May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors.
