Join Our Team as a 3D Artist Intern at Beyond Sports

Are you creative, passionate about 3D art, and eager to help shape the future of digital sports experiences? Then this is your chance to work on projects that are used worldwide by top teams and major broadcasters during your internship or graduation period.

You'll contribute to projects used by Arsenal, Ajax, Feyenoord, the KNVB, Fox Sports, Sky Sports, the NBA, NFL, NHL, and many more. The impact of your work is truly global. We are seeking a passionate individual ready to join our team from February 2026 for a 5-6 month period in Alkmaar.

As a 3D Artist Intern at Beyond Sports, you’ll be considered a full member of our Art Team from day one. Together with experienced 3D artists, Unity developers, and designers, you’ll work on high-quality virtual environments and characters for our sports projects.

• Creating 3D environments and characters
• Sketching, modeling, texturing, animating, and rigging
• Optimizing assets for real-time applications
• Contributing ideas on visual style and quality improvements
• Providing fresh perspectives on existing projects
• Helping innovate our VR experiences

You’ll receive guidance from an experienced artist, who will shape your assignment with you and host weekly evaluation sessions. At Beyond Sports, we constantly strive to exceed expectations, your creativity and ideas are incredibly valuable.

• Passionate about sports, technology - or both!
• You are available 4-5 days a week in our office for at least 5/6 months.
• Have strong communication skills (English)
• Are proactive, precise, and results-driven
• Can work independently but also enjoy collaborating
• Are motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic
• Think creatively and solve technical challenges smartly
• We prefer that the intern is enrolled at a Dutch university or college for the entire duration of the internship and must provide us with an internship agreement.

Whether you study Game Development, Software Engineering, or Computer Science, if you’re passionate about 3D and sports visualization, you’ll feel at home here.

You don’t need to master everything, but we’re looking for students with the following profile:

• Solid knowledge of Blender
• Experience with Photoshop and/or Substance Painter/Designer
• Ability to create real-time 3D assets
• Understanding of optimization (polycount, texel density, etc.)
• Creative technical problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of animation and rigging
• Experience with Adobe CC
• Sculpting (e.g., ZBrush)
• Experience with Unity
