Before and After School Care StaffCabrini Grade School is hiring for our before and after-school Extended Day Program. Our program provides a safe and nurturing space for children Preschool-Grade 8 to gather after school and engage in a variety of activities. Extended Day staff members are responsible for coordinating group activities, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.
Performance Responsibilities:- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and in preparing needed materials and supplies
- Helps with general housekeeping tasks, including the serving of snacks and sanitizing the tables
- Maintain a professional attitude
- Treat all children with dignity and respect
- Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs
- Oversee and supervise children in small groups
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide some training)
- Complete 16 hours of Professional Development in Early Childhood topics (annually)
- Prior to starting, must complete:
- Fingerprinted/Background check (through school)
- Bloodborne Pathogens Protecting God’s Children Workshop (available through Archdiocese of Detroit)
- TB test and physical
- MI Registry health and safety training
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence
- Availability to work from 7:00-7:45 am and/or 2:30-6:00pm 3-4 days a week
