The Instrumentation and Calibration Technician is an entry level position, giving those who want to work in the vehicle testing field the opportunity to learn and grow with an industry leader.

Brief Outline Of SpecificRoles And Responsibilities
Electrified Powertrain Integration Center (EPIC) calibration technician role will be split between the EPIC Build / Fabrication group and the EPIC Calibration team. You will flex between the two groups dependent on workload. Excellent organizational skills are a must.
Becoming safety certified to perform high voltage electrical and mechanical tests is required upon start-up.
Job Responsibilities- Core tasks include day‑to‑day calibration and repair of basic electronic systems related to test equipment.
- Accurate and timely completion of instrumentation calibrations, repairs, and builds.
- Accurate documentation and database entry on a daily basis.
- Plan calibration schedule and facilitate communication with operations team.
- Calibrate pressure transducers, transmitters, current shunts, battery cyclers, load cells, and handheld/bench‑top test instruments such as multimeters, process calibrators, thermometers, etc.
- Maintain instrumentation equipment in a state of readiness to support test programs.
- Operational test support through troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Work independently, be highly organized, self‑motivated with the ability to adapt to an ever‑changing work environment.
- Think through a situation and see the "big picture"—how actions affect the client, fellow employees, and data deliverables.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- 2 years of experience working with instrumentation.
- Technical understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation interface / communication.
- Operational knowledge of instrumentation equipment related to test systems.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical literature, manufacturer’s specifications, and calibration certifications.
- Ability to develop and interpret reports and calibration metrics.
- Experience with computer‑based database applications.
- Positive attitude and strong desire to excel.
- Ability to create, read and interpret electrical schematics (a plus).
- Associate’s Degree in electrical, controls, or electronics engineering (a plus).
- Laboratory test experience with demonstrated ability to set‑up and run automated testing.
- An understanding of vehicle powertrain, power supply, and vehicle electrical system operation with an emphasis on High Voltage / HEV / BEV applications (a plus).
- A working knowledge of instrumentation measurement systems, particularly transducers and their operation—temperature, pressure, fluid flow, etc.
- Fabrication skills—a strong plus.
