Branch Operations Specialist

Join Zeal Credit Union for a Full‑time, onsite Branch Operations Specialist position, rotating between the Allen Park, Taylor, and Woodhaven branches. In this role you’ll impact the member‑focused community, solve problems, build lasting relationships, and help our team reach its high‑performance goals.

As a Full‑time Branch Operations Specialist, you play a pivotal role in enhancing member experiences by assisting with complex transactions, inquiries, and account research. Your commitment to exceptional service guides you in providing tailored product recommendations while ensuring the smooth operation of the branch. Responsibilities include cash management—balancing vaults, ATMs, and teller drawers—conducting branch audits, maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, training and mentoring Member Service Representatives, and serving as a subject‑matter expert on intricate member transactions such as CDs, IRAs, and consumer lending.

To excel in this role you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• High‑school education or GED
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies and procedures
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer‑service skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• The ability to prioritize tasks
• Knowledge and training in, and compliance with, BSA/AML/OFAC and other applicable regulations

Preferred skills include experience in branch operations, compliance, or audit functions within a financial institution and an advanced understanding of branch transactional systems, balancing procedures, and complex member service functions.
