Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Experienced Dimensional Analysis Technicians for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. Experienced Dimensional Analysis Technicians will perform and maintain component dimensional analysis equipment and measurements. The role will provide analysis reports to engineers. The Experienced Dimensional Analysis Technicians will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions. This Full-time Experienced Dimensional Analysis Technicians position offers an AM day shift, plus overtime as needed and based in Allen Park, MI.
Shift:- AM day shift
: 6:45 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus overtime as needed)
- Assist in measuring hard points and 3D laser scan data for individual components and complete assemblies using a variety of manual devices, Laser Scanning, Fixed & Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Measure hard points and 3D laser scan data for individual components and complete vehicles using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) arm (Romer Arm to be specific)
- Setup and tear down of components on surface plates
- Participate in interpreting technical dimensional documents
- Prepare technical dimensional analysis results in various formats for distribution
- Perform regularly scheduled calibration checks and maintenance of CMM equipment
- Participate in daily surface plate clean-up in preparation of upcoming projects
- Perform and maintain component dimensional analysis equipment and measurements
- Provide analysis reports to engineering and test customers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Romer Arm, CMM, Polyworks, and Teamcenter experience (Metrology)
- Detail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer service skills and ability to work overtime
- Ability to follow directions, learn new skills and technologies, multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to start and complete projects with minimal supervision or oversight
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate and understand CATIA, Teamcenter, and Poly Works software
- Possess strong math skills and a good understanding of geometry
- Maintain knowledge of other forms of 3D scanning, such as ATOS systems
- Maintain knowledge of automotive components
- Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Metrology or related
- 3+ years of technical, automotive or related experience
- Strong math skills and a good understanding of geometry
- Knowledge of automotive components
- Ability to navigate and understand CAD Models and Poly Works software
- Overtime when available
- No certification required
