Job Title:
Station Leader (Player-Coach) - Detroit, MI
Pay: $80,000 per year + Monthly Bonus Opportunities up to 20%
Sky Hop Global is a national leader in airline crew transportation, operating 24/7/365 across major US markets. As we expand into Detroit, we are looking for a hands-on Station Leader who is ready to build, lead, and grow a high-performing team from the ground up.
This is a player-coach role
-you won't just manage the operation, you'll be in it. Expect to spend approximately 50% of your time driving, leading by example, and setting the standard for safety, service, and performance.
- Lead day-to-day station operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Drive routes and transport airline crew members safely and professionally (~50% of the time)
- Hire, train, coach, and develop drivers and support staff
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company policies
- Monitor KPIs, schedules, and service levels to meet client expectations
- Partner with dispatch, safety, and leadership teams to drive performance
- Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and growth
- Proven leadership experience 2 to 3 years (transportation, logistics, or operations a plus- but we can train this!)
- Hands-on, "lead from the front" mindset-this is not a desk-only role
- Open availability - must be able to support a 24/7/365 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays) We are a 24/7/365 business!
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- P&L ownership
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (no moving violations in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and assist with crew luggage
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to all company driving policies
- No personal mobile device usage while operating company vehicles (per company policy)
