Accent Financial Services is a family-rooted tax and accounting firm in Allen, Texas. We were founded in 1990, and Ryan Otto acquired the firm in October 2022. We serve individuals, families, and small business owners across Collin County and North Texas, both online and in person. Our services include tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping and outsourced accounting, payroll, business formation and entity strategy, IRS notice resolution, and fractional CFO services.

This is the one leadership role in our office. As Director of Tax and Accounting, you'll run the day-to-day practice so our owner can step back from daily operations and focus on growing the firm. You'll lead the team, keep the work moving, and serve as the senior expert on both our tax and accounting work.
What you'll do- Lead and support our team of tax preparers and bookkeepers, and set the standard for quality and client care.
- Drive production. Keep work on schedule, manage deadlines and workflow, and make sure returns and client deliverables go out accurately and on time.
- Serve as the senior reviewer and expert on accounting work, including bookkeeping, outsourced accounting, and financial reporting.
- Serve as the senior reviewer and expert on tax work for individual and business returns, tax planning, and IRS notice resolution.
- Take on Taxsmithing engagements, our proactive tax strategy service, where we study a client's whole financial picture and build them a custom plan.
- Depending on your background, provide fractional CFO services to small business clients.
- An active CPA license (required).
- A strong work ethic and a sense of ownership over the work and the team.
- 10+ years of tax and accounting experience, including leadership.
- Ability to work on-site at our Allen office, with occasional remote flexibility.
- $120,000 base salary.
- Open to equity position.
