Job Description & How to Apply Below
AGMDC is the RF and microwave design division of Ampli Tech Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMPG), designing MMICs and subsystem hardware for SATCOM, defense, 5G, space, and quantum computing from simulation through packaged, tested hardware. We are looking for a hands-on Program Manager / Manufacturing Engineer to help propose, cost, and track our programs, manage our supplier relationships, and keep deliveries on schedule by solving problems when they come up.
Position will be part of a Corporate Program Office to provide program and contract management support to all divisions.
- Support proposal development, including cost estimates, pricing, SOWs, and schedules for R&D, prototype, and production programs
- Build and maintain program budgets and schedules, and track cost, schedule, and deliverables against plan from contract award through delivery
- Manage relationships with foundries, PCB fabricators, assembly houses, and other suppliers. Issue RFQs, evaluate quotes, and coordinate POs
- Monitor vendor performance and delivery so that parts and builds arrive on time, and escalate early when schedules slip
- Lead root-cause investigation and corrective action for supplier, assembly, and yield issues, working with the design team
- Develop and maintain build documentation, assembly procedures, and test flows for moving designs from prototype into production
- Identify and qualify alternate and domestic suppliers to reduce single-source risk
- Report program status, risks, and financials to the customer and to internal leadership
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for customers on program schedule, deliveries, and open issues
- BS or MS in Business or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related)
- 5-10 years of experience in program management, manufacturing engineering, or technical management
- Proven ability to build cost estimates and proposals and to track program financials
- Experience managing external suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the drive to own issues through to closure
- Able to work across engineering, sales, finance, and operations without formal authority
- Clear written and verbal communication with customers and vendors
- Proficiency with scheduling and ERP/MRP tools
- Experience in semiconductors, RF/microwave, or MMIC products
- Familiarity with defense or aerospace programs, including FAR/DFARS and ITAR
- PMP or similar certification a plus
- US Person status for work on ITAR-controlled programs
