Overview
Photronics invites you to join as a Data Prep Technician in Allen, Texas. This entry‑level role supports our high‑tech manufacturing process, preparing and reviewing customer design files for photomask production.
Location & ShiftLocation
:
Allen, Texas (US). This is an on‑site position; remote candidates are not currently accepted.
Shift
:
Wednesday – Saturday, 6am – 4pm, with flexibility as needed.
- Under supervision, prepare and process customer design files for mask writing, ensuring data accuracy and completeness using approved software and procedures.
- Follow documented procedures for standard job setups, retrofits, and data conversions.
- Verify and enter customer specifications and requirements in the manufacturing execution system.
- Learn and develop technical knowledge of UNIX commands, data systems, and photomask preparation tools.
- Investigate and resolve data‑related discrepancies to ensure production accuracy.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
- Organize and manage digital files to ensure efficient workflows and data integrity.
- Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training to develop knowledge of company processes, software systems, and photomask terminology.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, software tools, and network concepts; familiarity with UNIX preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Good problem‑solving and organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and ask clarifying questions when needed.
- Demonstrate initiative by seeking guidance and training opportunities.
- Must be eligible to obtain Secure/Trusted clearance as required.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in data processing, Unix computer technology, or semiconductor‑related work preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
