As the Line Lead you will supply guidance and direction in troubleshooting basic technical problems, provide training of operators, follow‑up on priorities and assist manufacturing in the daily needs of processing quality wafers. Meet the demands of cycle time, throughput and output. Ensure shipment demands are met by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
About the JobIncludes the following but not limited to:
- Lead the shift in proper manufacturing protocol, behavior, and quality practices. Provide feedback to management concerning critical personnel issues, such as improper behavior or training problems. Provide guidance and enforce company policies and safety regulations. Line Leads will lead by example when performing company duties.
- Provide guidance to operators for trouble‑shouting basic technical problems to get production back online with minimal impact. Provide 1st line investigation of technical problems and gather facts pertaining to process and quality problems. Present problems in detail to management as they arise.
- Ensure all equipment SPC and shift start‑up tasks are completed. Check reactor set‑up at the beginning of shift and at the start of new production lots to verify the correct specifications, materials and run parameters are used.
- Supervise production personnel and provide training as needed. Provide assistance to the manager in communicating directives to shift personnel. Facilitate inter‑shift communication to provide feedback on problems and accomplishments.
- Develop manufacturing tools as needed to assist with quality improvement and streamlining systems and procedures. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product. Participate in and lead yield improvement teams and take accountability for shift goals such as yield, production totals and cost reduction.
- Follow‑up on priorities and assist the team in getting necessary supplies or materials to carry out their duties.
- Line Lead will perform manufacturing tasks as necessary to meet throughput goals and reactor utilization, including tool operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervises operators in the production department. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and all applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school or two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. - MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. - REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
