Position Summary SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for operating crane in a safe and effective manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure inspection of crane is completed prior to operating.

Properly run the crane by using handheld remote to move product where required.

Always supply extruders with product.

Ensure reinforcement tables are open for reinforcement process to continue.

Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.

Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.

Maintain production schedules.

Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

Other duties may be assigned later.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required/ preferred: High School diploma or GED
Experience: Production work preferred but not required
Preferred Skills/

Qualifications:
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
- Sound decision making skills
- Good math, reading, writing skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
- Strong trouble shooting skills

Competencies:
- 1.Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office package
- 2.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment

Standing is required for extended periods of time.

Stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping are done on a frequent basis.

Climbing, carrying, kneeling, lifting and lifting overhead are performed on an occasional basis.

Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.

Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
