Department Notes
3 OR suites, approximately cases per month. Variety of cases including Endo, Urology, Ortho (total knee, spine, hand, elbow, and shoulders), Dental and ENT. BBGH does not perform neuro or open heart surgeries, and they do not have robotics.
Omnicell utilized for medications and supplies, Meditech for computer charting. Equipment reps are available for 75% of surgeries.
Specialty Profile Notes
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the Operating Room. Circulate experience only required, not required to scrub. Would prefer RN with PACU experience (Phase 2, administering medications) and someone who has worked in a Critical Access Facility. Since this is a Critical Access Facility, RNs will pull preference cards, turnover rooms, clean, ect.
Requirements:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska, or Compact State, BLS, ACLS and PALS all issued through American Heart Association. PALS is required as they may take care of Pediatric patients in Recovery Room.

Shift: Varied 8 hour days; start time between 5:45am-6:45am. Will take call one night per week and one weekend per month. When RN is on call, they will be scheduled for the last case of the day.

Held every Wednesday, consisting of three days of classroom orientation and one shift with preceptor on the unit.
