The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Panel Builder to layout, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical control panels and machine wiring for our product lines. You will work from electrical schematics/blueprints, install components, verify operation through testing, and help diagnose issues when equipment is not performing as expected.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical panel layout and machine wiring using schematics and/or blueprints
- Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware; connect and label wiring
- Test completed panels/systems to validate proper installation and operation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in panels, generators, and controllers
- Inspect electrical systems to determine repair or rework needs
- Work safely with medium-voltage components (as applicable)
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements; maintain quality and housekeeping standards
- Complete work to meet production schedules and quality expectations
- High school diploma or equivalent (Electrical Technology or related education is an asset)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Comfort using hand tools and electrical test equipment
- Ability to identify color-coded wiring
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and commitment to quality
- Commercial/industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working around industrial equipment
- Prior panel building, machine wiring, or controls cabinet experience
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders/scaffolding
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
