Overview

• Duration: 4 years
• Vocational school: 2 days per week in Basel
• Specialization: mechanical, electrical and metal industry
• Vocational baccalaureate: possible

Responsibilities

• The first year of the apprenticeship takes place externally in the basic year of electronics/automation at the Gewerbeschule in Basel.
• Subsequently, training occurs in various internal automation departments.
• Insights into product testing and project management.
• Building automated control systems.
• Programming and testing products.
• Contacting and advising external customers.
• Intensive exchange with project managers and engineers.
• From the 3rd year, trips to customers at home and abroad are possible.

Hard skills

• Completed intermediate or upper secondary school.
• Good grades in mathematics and physics.
• Very good knowledge of German.
• Good knowledge of English; other languages are an advantage.

Soft skills

• Strong technical understanding.
• Careful and accurate work approach.
• Perseverance and patience.
