• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory illnesses or decline in baseline health, including ventilator-dependent respiratory failure.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring continuity of care.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care across the continuum of care.
• Communicate changes in patient’s conditions and results of diagnostic studies to nurses and physicians.
• Perform all respiratory therapy duties in all patient care areas.
• Educate patients and families on ventilator management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and ventilator weaning.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and staff concerns.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with an Associate’s Degree.
• Advanced level accreditation (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care preferred; a CRT required.
