LPN Unit Nurse – Base wage starting at $32.59/hour

• Full‑Time:
  Three 12‑hour shifts per week / 72 hours per 2‑week period; weekend/holiday rotation.
• Per Diem: 4 shifts in a 4 week period with two of them being a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
• Day Shift: 6am – 6:30pm
• Night Shift: 6pm – 6:30am

Michigan Masonic Home is looking for a talented, compassionate, and hard‑working Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) eager to serve others.

• Provide skilled nursing services to residents under the direction, delegation, or supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or a physician / provider.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assist with effective care delivery to achieve desired resident outcomes.
• Administer nursing procedures in accordance with resident care plans including dressing changes, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, range of motion, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.
• Prepare prescribed medications in accordance with resident care plans and physician / provider orders.
• Administer medications orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously according to policies and procedures.
• Monitor the effects of medications, document reactions as appropriate, and notify the physician / provider per policy.
• Document resident care in the electronic medical record and/or other required documents.
• Assist in carrying out rehabilitation programming and activities for residents including development of social skills and interactions, daily living skills, reality orientation, recreational skills, etc.
• Assist in managing resident aggressive or disruptive behavior.
• Assist with providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to include oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, nail care, shaving, diapering, and dressing.
• Monitor / take vital signs and other resident care measures (e.g., intake & output) and document appropriately.
• Collect data, plan, and implement the nursing care of residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist with providing bed care to residents needing repositioning, ambulating, assistance with elimination needs, transferring to and from wheelchairs, etc.

• A graduate of a practical nursing education program.
• A valid State of Michigan LPN license.
• Current CPR certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• A new graduate or experienced LPN qualifies for this position.
