Town Planner - Alnwick (Northumberland)

A growing property and planning consultancy in Alnwick is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their close-knit team of 8 planners and surveyors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with 2+ years' experience (either local authority or private sector) who is looking to take on more responsibility in a supportive, commercially focused environment.

Working across a diverse portfolio of rural, residential and strategic land projects, you'll play a key role in delivering planning advice that helps unlock development potential and add value for clients. The business provides end-to-end support, from feasibility through to planning applications and negotiations with local authorities, offering strong exposure across the full development lifecycle.

The Role

· Preparing and submitting planning applications

· Supporting strategic land promotion and development projects

· Engaging with local authorities and key stakeholders

· Providing clear, practical planning advice to clients

· Assisting with appeals, policy representations and site appraisals
About You

· Minimum 2 years' experience in town planning

· Background in local authority or private consultancy

· Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset

· Ability to manage your own workload within a small, collaborative team
