Alpena, Michigan Alpena is located in northeast Michigan on the shores of Lake Huron amongst vast forest and endless clear water in a friendly, picturesque city. It offers scenic landscapes and a low‑stress “up north” atmosphere year‑round by living in Alpena, a small community (population 10,500) on the shore of Lake Huron that describes itself as “a modern city at nature’s doorstep.”

Alpena offers easy access to indoor and outlet shopping, family‑owned and chain restaurants, and diverse industry, while providing many opportunities for outdoor recreation such as fishing, kayaking, biking and snowshoeing. You can explore spectacular lighthouses and shipwrecks on Lake Huron, visit wineries and breweries, and enjoy cultural attractions like live theater and music concerts in the park. If you feel like “exploring” for a weekend, the Mackinac Bridge to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is less than a two‑hour drive away.

Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist at My Michigan Medical Center Alpena. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and technical skills with experience in the latest neurology techniques. Require a physician who is interested in offering a broad scope neurology service including EMG, botox and occipital nerve blocks. Candidates would have the ability to build their practice to fit their specific interests but do need to be able to see a wide range of conditions.

Service was previously provided by a private practice physician. Large demand for services with tremendous volume and income potential. Solo position with excellent support from other physicians within the system and ability to grow the local service line/practice. EPIC EMR. Potential for outreach clinics one to two days per month.

• Traditional Monday through Friday, with some flexibility.

• 1:3 call

• U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent
• Board eligible or board‑certified
• Completed a residency in neurology
• Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan and a Controlled Substance License
