About

The Role

The Electrical Engineer, New Graduate will be responsible for all electrical maintenance activities at the plant. They will ensure electrical project work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements, and they will work cooperatively to plan, schedule, and execute all control system activities in the plant in order to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.

The Electrical Engineer, New Graduate will also be a part of the Amrize US Build4

Growth Program. This extensive, 14‑month cement manufacturing learning and development program provides new graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experience in the main operational areas of our cement plants. The program is built on a blended learning approach including online learning, face‑to‑face sessions, on‑the‑job assignments, and projects.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Promote safety with all other employees and outside contractors.
  • Promote electrical safety and safe work practices in the workplace with subordinates.
  • Supervise the electrical and instrumentation technicians in the execution of daily work orders and projects; assign work, ensure it is performed timely and correctly, and record the work history in SAP.
  • Implement electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs, conduct systematic inspections on all plant electrical equipment, collect quantitative data, analyze it with advanced diagnostic tools, assess condition, risk, and determine corrective actions.
  • Accurately document electrical schematics and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure all system programming meets environmental compliance.
  • Maintain system documentation, including master equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipment specifications, and repair history.
  • Evaluate computer control equipment and components to ensure they meet plant requirements.
  • Define, write, and implement changes to existing process control programs.
  • Provide control system training and guidance for plant personnel.
  • Troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems.
  • Participate in defining, developing, and executing equipment and process modifications to improve reliability, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Provide electrical knowledge and support for plant maintenance and PLC control projects.
  • Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas, promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting these behaviors.
What We Are Looking For

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Field of Study Preferred:
Electrical Engineering.

Required

Work Experience:

0‑3 years.

Required Computer and Software

Skills:

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Travel Requirements: 5%.

Additional Requirements
  • Self‑starter / highly motivated team player.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
