Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

This role is part of Walgreens' Pharmacy Technician Training Program, recognized by ASHP & Department of Labor, offering an "earn while you learn" apprenticeship to become PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician. The program provides foundational and advanced training for a career in healthcare.

$16.50/hr - $20.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in practice of pharmacy in compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and operate cash registers (if PTCB certified).
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers, greet them, resolve customer issues, and ensure a positive experience.
• Assist in inventory management: ordering, unpacking, checking shipments, and maintaining supplies.
• Perform clerical duties, process manual claims, support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and the quality improvement program.
• Assist managers in developing relationships with local medical community.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the apprenticeship program.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
