* JOB SUMMARY:

** The Student Employee – Manufacturing is responsible for performing basic housekeeping duties on the shop floor.
*
* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

** 1. Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing common areas.
2. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
3. Clean and maintain restrooms to uphold hygiene standards.
4. Assist with organizing storage areas and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies.
5. Support light maintenance activities such as painting, minor repairs, and equipment upkeep under the supervision of experienced technicians.
6. Assist with basic landscaping tasks around the exterior of the manufacturing plant, such as weeding, watering plants, and maintaining outdoor areas.
7. Assist in setting up and organizing meeting rooms, conference areas, and other shared spaces for company events or gatherings.
8. Monitor and replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other restroom essentials as needed.
9. Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues or areas for improvement.
10. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
11. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
12. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive work environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

* JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education:

** Must be 18 years of age or older and currently enrolled in school.

* Experience:

** No prior experience in manufacturing required; work can be performed after completing necessary safety training.
*
* Skills:

** Good judgement required to perform duties effectively and safely. Moderate physical effort required.
*
* Working conditions:

** Some exposure to dirt, fumes, weather conditions and typical shop conditions.
