Howdoes this role contribute to our collective success?
As a Technical Assistant this role will act within established guidelines and support the Underwriting teams, working closely with Underwriting Assistants and Underwriters to provide clerical/office support to assigned business unit(s) and/or department(s).
What will you do in this role?- Prepare policies for policy issuance where applicable.
- Review policies for accuracy and regulatory standards.
- Review policy logs for accurate input.
- Input policy and underwriting data into appropriate systems.
- Process endorsements per request within established company guidelines – where applicable.
- Work with identified resources to maintain a structured diary system and file organization.
- Coordinate file pulls and manage the diary system to ensure that all necessary information is received within established timelines.
- Follow up on delinquent data.
- Submit management – where applicable.
- Actively switch between competing tasks and priorities.
- Maintain open communication by phone, email, video services, or in person where applicable.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid mathematical aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and Word).
- Good computer, organization, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good multi-tasking skills: ability to organize work and perform within time constraints.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and processes.
- Ability to access and utilize necessary reference materials.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
- Preferred knowledge of policy forms and documentation.
In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week; this is a hybrid role based on geographic location.
What we offerFor this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $40,000 to $55,000. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location. In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. On top of this, you will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and much more.
