AI Strategy & Transformation Consultant

We’re looking for a AI Strategy & Transformation Consultant to join us in our Alpharetta, GA office. This is a full-time, onsite position. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing operations.

About the role

This is a player-coach role within the Strategy function. You’ll help shape how AI is adopted and scaled across Aptean while remaining hands‑on in the work itself. You’ll prototype solutions, build automations, and put first‑version working tools in front of users, while also setting the broader direction for our AI roadmap. We expect roughly half of your time to be focused on hands‑on delivery and half on strategy, prioritization, and portfolio management.

You’ll partner closely with business leaders, operational teams, and AI engineers to identify opportunities where work is manual, time‑consuming, or insight‑constrained. You’ll prove value quickly, scale what works, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes. Success in this role is defined by deployed solutions and tangible results, not presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities firsthand:
  Partner with Strategic Operations teams to understand how they support business leaders, map key workflows, and uncover opportunities for automation, AI-driven insights, and efficiency gains.
• Prototype and ship:
  Build working proofs of concept using LLM APIs, Claude Code/Cowork, agent frameworks, or low‑code tools. Take the most promising solutions into production either independently or in partnership with the engineering team, depending on complexity and scale.
• Own a living portfolio:
  Manage the AI roadmap as a portfolio of delivered and in‑flight initiatives, prioritizing work based on measurable business value rather than enthusiasm alone.
• Measure impact rigorously:
  Establish baselines before launch, track adoption and outcomes over time, and transparently report results, including lessons learned from initiatives that do not succeed.
• Make governance practical:
  Create lightweight guardrails for data access, model usage, human review, and risk management that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining appropriate oversight and compliance.
• Translate between technical and business audiences:
  Turn business challenges into clear requirements that engineers can execute against, while helping leaders understand technical trade‑offs in straightforward business terms.
• Build organizational capability:
  Facilitate working sessions, create reusable templates and prompt libraries, and develop AI champions across functions so that success can scale beyond a single individual.

In your first 90 days you will…

• Map at least 3 manual processes where AI involvement could bring efficiencies
• Ship at least one working AI or automation solution into daily use
• Publish a prioritised AI roadmap with baselines and success measures for each item

About you

You are entrepreneurial, hands‑on and comfortable working across strategy, operations, engineering and business teams. You can investigate problems, understand numbers, challenge assumptions and step back to assess broader direction.

Key Requirements:

• Substantial experience in strategy, transformation, AI enablement, or automation, with a track record of helping to build and launch solutions
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, digital transformation, or technology-enabled change.
• Ability to bridge business and technical teams and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience establishing governance, operating frameworks, and accountability mechanisms.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands‑on approach to driving change.
