Role Description

As a Project Designer at Hillsman Inc., you will be responsible for managing design projects from concept through completion. This includes creating construction drawings, space planning, and coordinating architectural elements with project specifications. The role involves preparing and reviewing submittals, collaborating with clients, and managing project timelines and deliverables. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Alpharetta, GA.

Qualifications
  • Experience with creating Construction Drawings and proficiency in understanding architectural documents
  • Strong Space Planning skills and a solid understanding of architectural design principles
  • Proficiency in managing Submittals, including preparation and review
  • Project Management experience with the ability to manage timelines and ensure project deliverables
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with clients and cross‑functional teams
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other industry‑standard tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
  • Knowledge in current design trends, sustainable practices, and compliance with building codes and regulations is a plus
  • Commercial design experience in Higher Education, Civic, Hospitality, Healthcare, or Government are required
