Assistant Teacher – Carrington Academy
Location: 2945 Webb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30009
Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Student Age Range: Preschool (3–4 years old)
Pay Range: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (dependent on education and experience)
Summary: As an Assistant Teacher at Carrington Academy, you will create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve learning objectives. You will collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote the well‑being of the school and its community.
Responsibilities- Culture: Positively influence peers toward the school’s vision of excellence. Provide and maintain quality education programs and facilitate curriculum implementation.
- Health & Safety: Prioritize a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment and maintain compliance with accreditation, state licensing, and federal regulations.
- Educate, Inspire, Engage: Foster inclusive classrooms by understanding each child’s needs and encouraging life‑long learning.
- Relationship Building: Work collaboratively with educators and administrators; develop and maintain relationships with families and the school community.
- Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to carry or lift up to 25 pounds (25‑50%) and occasionally 25‑50 pounds (10‑25%).
- Must be 18+ and pass state and federal background checks.
