Electrical Safety Test Engineer
Full‑Time
Base pay range$70,000.00/yr – $/yr
OverviewOur client, a recognised leader in product safety and certification, is seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Test Engineer to support product evaluations, project management, and client communication. This role offers exposure to cutting‑edge technologies, a collaborative environment, and strong opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Define project scope, develop investigation plans, and establish specifications based on client input and product design.
- Conduct and oversee product assessments and component evaluations at client sites, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g., EN/IEC/UL 62368, 61010, 60335).
- Review technical files, document findings, and prepare timely client reports.
- Assess product design, engineering, and manufacturing processes, identifying any deficiencies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate technical issues and project updates clearly and professionally.
- Lead client meetings related to testing progress and project milestones.
- Contribute to the development of new testing techniques and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on electrical safety testing experience in a laboratory setting.
- Strong understanding of national and international electrical product safety standards, preferably including EV charging equipment, batteries, and energy storage systems.
- Familiarity with test equipment and standards committees.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
