About the Role

As an Entry Mechanical Engineer within the professional, scientific, and technical services industry, you will play a critical role in supporting the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components. Your work will contribute to innovative engineering solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering role.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical engineering projects.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or progress toward professional engineering licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems using CAD software and engineering principles.
  • Support the development and execution of testing protocols to validate mechanical designs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues during the product development lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and design calculations, to communicate engineering decisions clearly.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and outcomes.
Skills
  • The required skills such as proficiency in CAD software and a solid grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals are essential for creating and refining design models and drawings on a daily basis. Analytical and problem-solving abilities enable the engineer to identify design challenges and develop effective solutions during testing and development phases. Strong communication skills facilitate clear documentation and collaboration with team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and project success.

    Preferred skills like experience with FEA and CFD tools enhance the engineer’s capability to perform advanced simulations and optimize designs. Additionally, familiarity with project management and regulatory standards supports efficient workflow management and compliance throughout the engineering process.
