Position OverviewWe’re looking for a hands‑on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day‑to‑day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions.
- Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage month‑end close and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking.
- Implement and optimize use of financial and construction software.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar.
- Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software.
- Strong job costing and AI billing experience.
- Sales tax compliance experience is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
