Job Purpose & ScopeAs the primary point of contact in the consumer loan process, the Consumer Loan Specialist is responsible for educating the applicants on the Bank’s loan products and ensuring a complete and compliant loan application. The Consumer Loan Specialist gathers all necessary supporting loan documentation essential for the credit decision and orders the services related to securing the collateral.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of Non-real estate consumer loan products and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
- Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.
- Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or call center experience, required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the consumer loan origination process, required.
Operate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.
