Controller — Construction Who is a strong, stable construction firm that is seeking a Controller to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants. Hiring immediately for a full‑time position in Alpharetta, GA, this role will ensure strong internal controls and project accounting while meeting the firm’s growing financial leadership needs. The office environment is collaborative, fast‑paced, and team‑oriented, and the salary ranges from $140k to $150k plus bonus and excellent benefits.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day‑to‑day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.

• Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions.
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage month‑end close and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking.
• Implement and optimize the use of financial and construction software.

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar.
• Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software.
• Strong job costing and AI billing experience.
• Sales tax compliance experience is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
