Job Description
Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant/Treasury Specialist is a combination of Treasury Services (payment processing for tax return remittances) and Accounting. The role reports to the CEO/CFO of the company and partners with Operations to ensure the sales tax compliance process is successful.

Key functions include:

Treasury
  • Monitor and match daily bank transactions with tax return remittances (over $120M per month)
  • Manage positive pay activities with bank
  • Monitor and reconcile deposits into fiduciary account aligned by customer
  • Execute ACH Debit process to withdraw funds from customer's accounts
  • Process payments including ACH Credit payments and checks
  • Convert currency and manage bank wires
Accounting
  • Manage aspects of the general ledger
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Execute month-end close process
  • Manage annual 1099 reporting and forms
Internal Audit (SOC)
  • Assist with managing and monitoring internal controls and audit activities
Process Documentation and Support
  • Maintain Treasury procedures
  • Provide input for process and system improvements
  • Respond to Treasury support requests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate level skills with Excel
  • Intermediate level skills with Adobe (PDF Creator / Form Creator)
  • Experience working with high volume data in a flat file format (.csv, .txt)
