Sumter Local Government Consulting (Sumter LGC) is seeking a skilled local government Accountant to support a wide range of municipalities in all areas of public finance operations.

• Partner with our clients to support budgeting, accounting, revenue collection and other finance related duties
• Work as a team with our fractional CFOs

As part of our consulting team, you’ll bring critical financial leadership to local governments while helping them manage budgets, improve financial reporting, and deliver services more effectively.

• Proven experience in local government or public sector accounting
• Strong knowledge of governmental finance systems and reporting standards
• A proactive, self-starting professional who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working with a wide variety of clients in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and service to the public sector

• Competitive salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year
