Independent Contractor – Removal Services (1099) South Care Cremation & Funeral Society

South Care Cremation & Funeral Society, a locally owned funeral home, is seeking a reliable and compassionate independent contractor in the Stockbridge area to provide removal and transfer services for individuals entrusted to our care.

This opportunity is offered strictly as a 1099 independent contractor relationship, not an employment position. Contractors are engaged on an as‑needed basis and retain control over the manner and means by which services are performed, provided all applicable laws, safety standards, and South Care protocols related to dignity, professionalism, and care are followed.

Compensation Compensation is provided on a per‑removal / per‑assignment basis, paid at an agreed‑upon rate. Contractors are responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and business expenses associated with their services.

South Care may provide procedural orientation and access to necessary equipment to ensure consistency of care and compliance with professional standards. Such guidance does not create an employer‑employee relationship.
