The Resident Care Coordinator supports the Wellness Director in maintaining high standards of resident care and staff development. This role assists in training, policy interpretation, and implementation of best practices in resident care.
- Assist in the execution of policies and procedures related to resident care, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee scheduling for CNA's, CMA's and PSA's; to ensure adequate staffing levels and adherence to budgeted hours. Obtain approval from the DOW for any overtime hours before scheduling.
- Participates in on call rotation as assigned. Supervise and support care staff in delivering high quality resident services, including coordinating care provided by external healthcare providers.
- Assists in orientation and training of care staff including competency checks and annual training requirements.
- Assists with the orientation and training of care staff, including conducting competency checks and ensuring annual training requirements are met. Provide ongoing coaching and support to foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly weights and vital checks for residents. Report results to the DOW for review and follow-up.
- Attends daily stand-up meetings.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations for both resident and team member information.
- Monitor care team compliance with policies, safety standards, and administrative procedures. Take corrective actions when necessary to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Assures quality of Resident services.
- Uphold a professional demeanor in interactions with residents, families, staff, and the public. Serve as a role model in promoting the company's mission and values.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings and contribute to the discussion on resident care and staffing needs. Collaborate with the management team to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery.
- Assures care team adherence to all policies and procedures, all work, safety and administrative rules.
- Promotes the company's mission and philosophy.
- Provides other duties as assigned
- Current valid Medication Aide certification
- 5 years experience as a CNA/CMA preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to effectively lead and supervise a team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers, residents, and staff
