Cloud AI Engineer (5x Onsite in Alpharetta, GA)

Optomi, in partnership with a major fintech company, is seeking a highly capable Cloud AI Engineer to design, build, and operate AI-enabled cloud platform capabilities that empower development teams across the enterprise. In this role you will combine cloud infrastructure, automation, infrastructure-as-code, containers/serverless and LLM/AI integrations to deliver reusable services, templates, tools, and automated workflows. We’re looking for a curious, collaborative problem‑solver who enjoys learning new technologies and working across cloud, AI, and Dev Ops domains.

• Design and build AI-integrated cloud services and automation frameworks on AWS or Azure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or CDK to enable consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and scaling of cloud and AI resources through modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Platform, SRE, AI/ML, Security) to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Document and share best practices through guides, templates, and technical examples for wider team adoption.
• Continuously research and apply new technologies in AI, cloud computing, and Dev Ops to improve platform efficiency and innovation.

• Extensive hands‑on experience in cloud engineering, Dev Ops, or software development roles supporting enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloud Formation.
• Strong foundation in AWS or Azure services.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, etc.) for automated provisioning and deployment.
• Exposure to AI/ML services and APIs such as Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or Sage Maker, and interest in integrating AI capabilities into applications or workflows.
• Skilled in one or more programming or scripting languages—ideally Python, Type Script, or Power Shell—to automate tasks and develop reusable tooling.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, curiosity, and ability to learn emerging AI and cloud‑native technologies quickly.
• Bonus experience with AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) or AI-driven automation platforms (Harness, Spacelift, Opsera).
