A Brief Overview

Reporting to a Senior Training Manager, the Learning Systems Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Learning & Development (L&D) function by ensuring that new systems, tools, and processes meet the needs of end users across Hunt Military Communities. This role bridges the gap between system implementation and user experience, focusing on validating functionality, usability, and alignment with training and operational goals.

This role partners closely with the Operations, Technical Development, and L&D teams to plan, execute, and document testing efforts for new initiatives, system enhancements, and procedural changes. This includes supporting the rollout of digital tools, operational systems, and learning platforms that impact employee development and community engagement. This position also contributes to the maintenance and sustainment of key systems, including the Learning Management System (LMS), resident engagement platforms, and digital documentation tools.

This Specialist ensures that all updates and new features are tested for accuracy, compliance, and user readiness before full deployment.

What you will do
  • Supports the coordination of HMC project activities across multiple departments as required.
  • Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to define UAT (User Acceptance Testing) scope, test cases, and success criteria for L&D‑related systems and tools.
  • Uses various platforms (Jira, Teams, Email) to communicate testing results to the technical development team.
  • Executes test plans and documents results, identifying issues and working with stakeholders to resolve them before go‑live.
  • Assists in the creation of training materials and user guides based on tested systems and processes.
  • Collaborates with managers and assumes accountability for data integrity on projects, communicates with site teams, and identifies and implements best practices related to project management quality control.
  • Responds to support inquiries and provides feedback to improve user experience and system performance.
  • Provides customer feedback and information on customer issues to the management team for resolution and ongoing improvements.
  • Serves as a team member on projects and/or working groups.
  • Produces accurate work as part of the coordination project team.
  • Understands and complies with company policies and procedures while performing the role outlined above.
  • Travel is about 30% of the year.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (Required)
  • 1‑3 years of user Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance, or Learning Technology implementation (Required)
  • 1‑3 years of supporting Learning & Development initiatives, including LMS administration, eLearning deployment, or training systems support (Required)
  • 1‑3 years experience working with cross‑functional teams to test and launch enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, LMS, CRM, or property management systems) (Required)
  • 1‑3 years proven track record of documenting test cases, executing test scripts, and reporting defects using tools like JIRA, Test Rail, or similar platforms (Preferred)
  • 1‑3 years experience in change management or training rollouts for new systems or processes (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies such as:
    • Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Moodle)
    • eSignature platforms (e.g., Docu Sign, Adobe Sign)
    • Survey and feedback tools (e.g., Satis Facts, Survey Monkey)
    • Property or resident management systems (e.g., Yardi, )
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (for test tracking), Word (for documentation), and PowerPoint (for training presentations).
  • Basic understanding of HTML, SCORM, or xAPI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into user‑friendly test scenarios.
