Job SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering moderately complex projects and/or discrete phases of large-scale, enterprise initiatives within financial services and payments environments. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within approved budget, and in alignment with defined scope, quality standards, and business objectives. The Project Manager partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to drive successful outcomes across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end project management activities, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Manage moderately complex projects or components of larger, multi-stream programs within the organization's banking, payments, or fintech platforms.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs, dependency tracking, and status reporting.
- Coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, and cross-company teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee updates, stakeholder communications, and executive-level reporting.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and change requests; escalated appropriately with recommended mitigation strategies.
- Manage vendor and third-party dependencies, including deliverables, timelines, and service-level expectations.
- Drive accountability across project teams while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support post-implementation activities, including lessons learned, documentation, and transition to operations.
- Proven experience managing projects in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead both technical and non-technical project teams.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Experience in financial services, payments, banking, or fintech environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and security considerations in financial technology projects.
- PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or similar certification.
- Experience working with distributed or global teams.
