The Cyber Defense Response Center (CTF) is part of EY Information Security, responsible for monitoring and detecting security events that could impact EY assets. The CTF team works across risk strategy, cyber defense, and technology solutions to protect the EY brand and client trust.
Key Responsibilities- Perform real‑time monitoring and analysis of logs and alerts from multiple security devices, determining which events constitute security incidents.
- Work cross‑functionally to detect and respond to incidents, develop and maintain procedures for event alerting, and participate in investigations.
- Operate at a technical level, identify threats and vectors that cause alerts, and follow defined mitigation procedures.
- Respond to network, cloud, and host‑based security events.
- Investigate and resolve security events; work independently.
- Propose improvements within the CTF program and maintain strong interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or 2–3 years of related work experience.
- Minimum 1–2 years in a SOC or similar environment, with experience investigating security events, threats, or vulnerabilities.
- Incident handling, log analysis, electronic investigation, and correlation skills.
- Proficiency with intrusion detection platforms and knowledge of Windows/Linux administration (AD).
- Knowledge of security principles, technologies, and practices.
- Experience with multiple event detection platforms and TCP/IP.
- Integrity, strong communication and writing skills.
- Comfort navigating Windows system issues; any relevant security certifications.
