Senior Data Engineer (PySpark + Databricks + Oracle/Postgre

SQL Migration) – Contract – Alpharetta, GA

• Job Type: Contract – ONLY W2

• Interview Levels: 2 Rounds – 1st:
  Webex Video, 2nd:
  Coding + F2F

• Build, enhance, and optimize complex ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks.
• Perform end-to-end database migration projects, preferably Oracle → Postgre
  
  SQL, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Develop and maintain Databricks jobs for scheduled reporting and integrate with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, ADF, or Step Functions.
• Design and tune database architecture, indexing, and performance for Oracle and Postgre
  
  SQL to ensure high-performance queries and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable data processing solutions on AWS (RDS, S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda).
• Conduct performance tuning and execution plan analysis for Oracle and Postgre
  
  SQL databases.

• Expert-level proficiency in PySpark and Databricks.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle and Postgre
  
  SQL databases, including SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience using migration tools, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for data transformation and analytics.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud services (RDS, S3, EMR, Lambda, Glue, etc.).
