Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime
• Manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers
• Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control
• Configure and manage network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS)
• Install and upgrade network infrastructure components and software
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base
• Conduct network risk assessments and ensure compliance with security policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and deployments
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, and root cause analysis

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3 7 years of experience in network engineering or network administration
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar technologies
• Experience with L2/L3 switching and routing
• Good understanding of network security concepts and technologies
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus
• Familiar with network monitoring tools (Solar Winds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.)

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent
• Experience with SD‑WAN, SDN, or SASE
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Power Shell) a plus
