Senior Insurance Account Executive / Broker

Location:

HYBRID - 3 days a week in office in Alpharetta GA.

Overview

Greyling Insurance Brokerage & Risk Consulting, a division of EPIC, is a specialty insurance brokerage focused on construction and design professionals. We place many clients in highly profitable group captive programs and work with A/E firms to manage risk and insurance programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide day-to-day customer service, respond to client questions, and deliver insurance program design and risk-related consulting advice.
  • Negotiate and implement clients’ insurance programs; supervise coordination of the account service plan and routine transactions.
  • Lead new business opportunities and manage existing client renewals; prepare and present renewal results to clients.
  • Review pre-renewal materials and coordinate with team members to complete renewal tasks.
  • Execute renewal strategy, manage timelines, negotiate with underwriters and partners (US and London), review quotes and coverage enhancements, and broker all lines of coverage including group captives.
  • Ensure compliance or note exceptions, complete renewal reports, and participate in renewal meetings with clients.
  • Review renewal documents with Account Specialist (binders, confirmation of coverage, program charts, endorsements).
  • Maintain files and electronic records per company policy; coordinate with Account Specialist on policy reviews after Policy Manager reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with underwriters and clients; handle day-to-day client services (endorsements, contract risk reviews, coverage questions, client training, WC mods, audits, and documenting transactions).
  • Support merger & acquisition transactions as needed; assist with invoicing and collections per Greyling policy.
  • Participate in training activities and provide miscellaneous risk-related services as needed.
Other Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the team:
    Executive Risk Placement Specialist, Account Specialist, Account Manager, Contracts & Risk Analyst, Accounting, Policy Manager, Certificate Specialist.
  • Provide backup to other team members when traveling; proactively resolve client problems; oversee claims handling.
  • Support new client acquisition through coverage analysis and reporting; participate in industry organizations to develop subject-matter expertise for the AEC industry.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Potential to supervise Associate Brokers, Account Managers and Account Specialists.

What You’ll Bring

Skills & Qualifications
  • Must have 7+ years of experience in an Insurance Brokerage, with brokering negotiations; experience placing insurance for Architect, Engineering & Construction industries is required.
  • Experience in professional liability lines and environmental policies related to those lines is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with agency management systems such as Sagitta is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks; strong time management and deadline discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and ability to handle confidential situations; attention to detail for high-quality client service and risk management.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; risk management or insurance degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Broker’s P&C license required; industry-specific designations preferred.
Technology

Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software;
Sagitta or other agency management experience a plus.

Compensation

The base pay offered will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while considering internal equity and market data.
