Associate Attorney – Collections & Litigation

RAS LaVrar, LLC is an elite creditors’ rights law firm that provides full‑service litigation and comprehensive collection services. Our offices, home to almost a hundred employees across nine states, including our Plantation, FL headquarters, work diligently to ensure our interests are aligned with those of our clients. The Associate Attorney role offers an opportunity to litigate collections matters immediately, participate in discovery, conduct trials, and demonstrate ability to meet performance expectations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to filing of the action, including review of documents, financials, notices and demand letters.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate actions.
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable.
  • Handle contested matters, including discovery and trials.
Qualifications & Knowledge
  • Juris Doctor.
  • At least 1 year of legal experience; litigation or collections experience preferred.
  • GA Bar membership required (licensure in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, or Pennsylvania is a plus).
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
  • Ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations.
  • Meticulous analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Functions

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; constant computer use and other office machinery. Employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen and give presentations as needed. Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel and applicants.

Work Environment

Works generally at a desk in a well‑lighted, air‑conditioned cubicle or office, with moderate noise levels.
