Industrial Automation Technician

Industrial Automation Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of electromechanical systems throughout the production environment. Acting as primary contact for emergency situations that affect Scientific Games ability to operate efficiently. Additionally, the Industrial Automation Technician will assess, consider safety, while improving efficiency of production equipment. This position will coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for various services and support.

A minimum of 10 years experience with electromechanical industrial automation systems with hands on knowledge of machinery, electrical and electronic automated systems and an understanding of mechanical machine control systems.

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities

* Knowledgeable in PLCs, A/C & D/C Drives, Servo Drives, Motion Controls, Burner Controls (Siemens, Rexroth, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Lenze, B&R Automation).

* Understands the process of troubleshooting complex industrial automation systems.

* Understands and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic automation.

* Metal fabrication, welding and machining capabilities.

* Acts as the primary response for production and facility equipment related emergencies including but not limited to climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage and repairs.

* May act as hands on project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair automation projects.

* Assists with mechanical functionality and immediately responds to production emergencies as needed.

* Monitors and recommends enhancements in the production environment.

* Performs and assists with construction electrical work.

* Timely completes all job function related paperwork including but not limited to Work Orders, Shift log entries, Shift Detail cards, requisitions and Managed Inventory logs.

* Overtime as required.

* Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties necessary to maintain functional workspace integrity.

* Performs all other duties as assigned.
