Engineering Technician - Contractor

Job Description

• This entry-level role is responsible for performing routine electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks under close supervision.
• The position follows established processes, performs hands-on assembly operations, and communicates within the team to ensure task accuracy and compliance with technical specifications.
• Work is structured, closely monitored, and limited in scope, focusing on supporting operational targets within the team.

• Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including skilled hand work or use of automated production equipment.
• Read, comprehend, and interpret technical specifications, documentation, and terminology.
• Follow established methods and sequences for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Set up equipment and make necessary adjustments while maintaining tolerances according to blueprint specifications.
• Complete routine tasks following defined processes and elevate issues to supervisors as needed.
• Communicate with team members to exchange information and ensure understanding of work requirements.
• Work under close supervision with detailed instructions and peer review.

• Ability to perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Ability to follow defined operational sequences and maintain blueprint tolerances.
• Ability to work required schedules, including overtime.

• 0–3 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent;
  or
• 1 year of experience with a 2-year post-secondary/Associate degree.

• Understanding of basic assembly processes and production equipment.
• Ability to escalated issues appropriately.

• Strong teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills.

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 0–3 years of relevant experience; or
• Associate Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
